SAM CHESHIRE

A highlight for Sam was performing at the Royal Albert Hall with comments from Howard Goodall and Richard Stilgoe. “Talent coming out of their ears, and a beautiful sound out of their mouths”

 

He has performed at various prestigious venues around the country, The Bridgewater Hall, The Symphony Hall, The Sage Centre and The Royal Festival Hall, to name but a few, representing Rochdale Music Service.

 

Sam was a finalist 3 times at the Music For Youth Competition playing at Birmingham Symphony Hall and The Royal Albert Hall from the age of 14.

 

With his first band ‘Wired’ Sam performed at the O2 Arena, Birmingham. They also performed a celebrity charity event at The Palace Hotel with distinguished guests such as Kym Marsh, Manchester United players and soap-stars from Coronation Street / Hollyoaks / Emmerdale.

 

Sam has performed at the renowned ‘Paddy’s Day Festival’ with the band ‘Musaic’ in St Peters Square, Manchester, the main venue for St Patrick’s Day celebrations. 

 

Sam was contracted for 4 months with Camp America. He was based Camp Equinunk and Blue Ridge, located in Pennsylvania USA, where he taught and performed music for privileged children.

 

He has 3 years teaching experience at Rochdale Music Service where he worked with students in group sectionals and also on a 1-1 basis.

 

Sam has achieved the following music qualifications:

Grade 6 Saxophone • Grade 6 Music Theory

A level Music • A level Music Tech • GCSE Music • Bishops Chorister

He is also a previous member of:

National Youth Choir • Northern Cathedral Singers •Wired Session Band

He is an experienced Studio Producer/Session Musician/Project Manager working

at places such as Voltalab Sound Studios made famous by Joy Division and the

Stone Roses, working on collaborations with Truu Colours, Electrohorn Project with for Labels such as AIA.
